Cammo’s Corner with Club Singles Results

Club Singles Final – The Mens’ and Ladies’ Singles Championship Finals were played on 22 Dec 19 with both matches being replays of last year’s finals. 24-year-old Mason Bayliss won his first Wodonga Bowls Club Singles Championship with a convincing 26-9 win over veteran, Ashley Bates, who was aiming for his 15^th title.Mason played very consistently and never really allowed Ashley to get into the match thus gaining retribution for his narrow loss last year.

In the Ladies’ Final, World Champion, Kylie Whitehead, won her 7^th successive Club Championship when she defeated veteran and former multiple champion, Marg Bedford, 25-9. Despite the comfortable margin, Marg played some great bowls but Kylie was always able to produce the goods when required.

Congratulations to all bowlers for entertaining the crowd with some top bowls.
