Club Update – What is happening in the club?

The club has been dealing with the changing restrictions as a result of Covid-19. Fortunately we are back on the Greens and a return to regular organised social bowls has been well received by our members.

The midweek events are now up and running, next is the Saturday Jackpot pairs. It is looking good for this Saturday so hopefully we can get sufficient entries. The Entry Sheets are now available inside the club. “Local Club” visitors can also join in our organised social bowls.

What is happening on the social calendar? The club is open for trading everyday (excepting Sunday) from 4.00pm – on organised bowls days from 12 noon.

Happy Hour – unfortunately not happening this Friday. However, the Board is working on it and will have them up and running as soon as possible. Keep an eye on this website for advice on when we will hold our first Happy Hour.  When we do return we will need to work with current restrictions of 40 people (20 in the bar area and 20 in the Function Room), limit to 4 people to large tables and 2 on the round bar tables and table service only.

Club Championships – as we can now have 32 players on each Green the Match Committee’s can now plan for the completion of the remaining club champion events, Ladies Triples, Men’s Handicap Singles and the Mixed Pairs. Spectators are now allowed but must be spaced out around the Green.

Please ensure our club social distancing plan is complied with when you are in and around the club. The requirements are clearly posted around the club.

A major requirement, alongside the 1.5 metre rule, is that you must fill in the Attendance Record when entering the club and use the provided Hand Sanitiser.
