New Seating Installed

Finally the new seating has been installed between the two front Greens of the club. Thanks to the group of willing workers who waited patiently whilst the rain passed through and our leader (yet to identify) made the decision for the concrete to be delivered. The hard working team are as follows:

  • Graham Plemming (willing worker)
  • Phil Peers  or is it Pearce? (the apprentice who has been there for all phases of the project)
  • John Van Nispen (Subject Expert and Advisor)
  • Marty McGrath (‘wonabe supervisor’ and weather expert! Great stirrer!!!)
  • Adam Streltschenko (quiet assistant)
  • Rex McFarlane (resident electrician – just in case we hit a cable)
  • John Boyd (great on a barrow)
  • Tony Smedley (Grounds Supervisor & Civil Engineer)
  • Rob Taylor (as always a willing worker – sorry we did not dirty his screed)
  • Dave Sully (willing helper and newest Clubman)
  • Brice Owen (great Clubman)
  • Noel Murrell (“jack of all trades” up for a ribbing!)

Did you notice who was doing the supervising in the above photo? He did let us know that we did get him out of bed too early!

Thanks to all those who turned up and those who apologised for not making this Working Bee – there are more to come.

  • replace the stolen fencing
  • extend the concrete near the BBQ to the pathway
  • extend the width of the concrete under the shelter at the rear entrance
  • clean out and secure guttering around club and shelters – urgent!
  • install new seating at the ends of the front Greens (similar to the newly installed seating)
  • Replace all damaged banks on front Greens
  • Renew all plinths on the front two Greens
