Club Greens – Now Open For Practice

As a result of the easing of restrictions the Board has opened the Greens for PRACTICE ONLY from 10.00am Friday 15th May under the following conditions:

  •  Greens open for practice everyday from 10.00am (Mondays when allowed by Greenskeeper  and at anytime the closed sign is displayed) for members only.
  • 10 people maximum per green (including a coach). Please consider others, when numbers exceed 10 per Green take a break to allow equal opportunity for others to also practice.
  • One vacant rink spacing between open practice rinks must be maintained.
  • Maximum of 4 Bowlers per rink at any one time. Bowlers should practice social distancing (1.5 meters apart) at all times.
  • Toilets will be open (through door nearest BBQ) Monday to Saturday until 5.00pm approx and Sunday if a Board/staff member available.
  • Golf balls provided in Mat Boxes to be used as Jacks.

General Around-the-Green Hygiene to be followed:

  • If you’re feeling unwell then you should not attend the club under any circumstances.
  • refrain from shaking hands, high-fives or any other contact with others and keep 1.5 meters apart.
  • refrain from handling other people’s bowls.
  • Wash your hands before and after play.
  • Participants are to use the hand sanitizer on arrival at the club.
  • All mats and jacks must be disinfected prior to use and when placed back in storage (disinfectant sprayer in Mat boxes).
  • Please refrain from picking up Jacks and instead (where possible) kick jacks with your feet.
  • Please refrain from multiple people handling mats.

General Information:

  • Members in a high-risk category should strongly consider whether they should or should not be playing as per their own circumstances and/or medical advice.
  • Bowls are limited to practice at this stage and no organised competition Bowls are permitted (eg. no Wednesday Men’s Pairs or other club events).
  • all members practicing must fill in the Attendance Books in the each of the Mat Boxes that lists who attends the club and at what time (arrival and departure times). This will be used to assist with contact tracing if required.
  • No spectators are permitted to watch anyone practice (unless they are driving a bowler to and from their practice session), the club is to remain a spectator free environment until Bowls Victoria advises otherwise.
  • No alcohol is to brought on or consumed on the premises.

Non compliance of the conditions for practice may cause the Board to close the Greens
