Weekend Pennant – Situation for tomorrows games

This is to advise that it is essential that all games be played in all Divisions as the final four or relegations are still not finalised except in Division B1. The current BOM forecast indicates that we will be impacted by rain. However, it appears that most of the rain will appear between 8.00am and 12 noon. One thing in our favour is that the forecast has been regularly downgraded in the past 24 hours.

If games are interrupted or start late it appears that the weather will clear around 3.00pm allowing sides to complete the days games (games can be played beyond 6.15pm, the cut-off time under the inclement weather rule, to ensure a result).

If the games are not completed tomorrow then they will need to be played/completed on Sunday. The Pennant Committee feels that to push back the finals by 1 week would not be accepted well.

A reminder that the number of ends to be played to constitute a game are:

  • Division A1 to A4 = total of 50 ends
  • Division B1 to B4 = total of 36 ends

Fingers crossed that the BOM forecast is further downgraded and the round can be completed.
